Physical Requirements

To get to our partnering schools you must trek through the Himalayas. This trek is considered to be one of the most beautiful hikes many travelers have taken. It will pass through countless waterfalls, some even flowing past your feet. The trek goes through several small villages and boasts views of some of the tallest mountains in the world. The trek is no ‘walk-in-the-park,’ it is very strenuous! At some points, it will lead the trekker up steep hills for a couple of hours.

The culture of Nepal can very rewarding for travelers but it can also be challenging. Please make sure you read through the links below and set your expectations for how life is lived in Nepal, a country of many peaks and many valleys.

If walking up a couple of flights of stairs is difficult, Trek to Teach might not be the best program for you. If hiking for hours and challenging your body and mind is invigorating, we are enthused to meet you!
