The town of Ghandruk in Autumn, and in the Summer monsoon season
With 2,000 people, Ghandruk is one of the largest villages in Annapurna. It is only a 1-day trek from Pokhara and is a common path for many trekkers to go through. Be sure to stop by the museums and dress in the traditional Gurung clothing.
Chhomrong, above the Heavenly Path
With more 800 people, and only two days away from the Annapurna Base Camp, Chhomrong has a perfect mix of large village and rural community. The village is so close to the mountains, you can see such great detail within their peaks.
Tolka, a rural village in the clouds
Tolka boasts a wide area of land but not more than 500 people within its community. It is heavily focused on farming and agriculture and has some of the friendliest people in the Annapurna region.
Trekking in Annapurna
Annapurna is a gorgeous region that changes its appearance almost every day of your trek. Go on a 17-day trek around the region or go on a simple 4-day upon the small loop to your school. You will meet many wonderful people along the way and will see some of the most outstanding views imaginable!
